An afternoon of charming songs, lieder and piano pieces including works by Mozart, Grieg, Schubert, Brahms, Rachmaninov and Fiddes
Sue Carson has performed as a professional musician for 20 years in various
genres from opera to contemporary pop, country, folk, and musical
theatre. Her vocal diversity is perhaps her greatest attribute. Essentially
a coloratura soprano, Sue's versatility has allowed her to play roles from
Mozart's "Queen of the Night" to Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Carrie" in
Carousel and "Rosalinde" in Strauss's Die Fledermaus. Sue teaches both contemporary and classical voice at Newcastle University Conservatorium www.suecarson.com.au
Ross Fiddes as a pianist has been soloist, accompanist and recitalist in
concert with and without orchestra and as a chamber player. As
conductor/musical director he has conducted many symphony concerts, operas,
musicals & choral concerts. His larger-scale compositions have been
performed by Opera Australia, Western Australia Arts Orchestra, The Hunter
Orchestra, The Sound Construction Company, Amherst Saxophone Quartet (USA),
